Addictions and Mental Health

This guide provides information on resources in the Addictions & Mental Health area.

Accessing Library Materials

The Library has a wide range of print and online resources available for use - see the various tabs on the left for information on accessing article collections and books (print & ebooks) in your program areas.

You don't have to physically go to the library to access eBooks or articles! Use the Library's search feature, Omni, to look for print books, ebooks or online articles. Most of the Library's journal, magazine and newspaper articles can also be accessed online using the specific resources listed in the Articles & Databases section.

In addition to the options listed throughout this guide, you can search for books & articles in a number of ways:

Streaming videos can be found by:

  • Searching in Omni - once at a list of results for your topic, look under the 'Resource Type'' option in the left frame and select 'Video'
  • Searching the individual video collections on the Streaming Videos page

Accessing Online Resources

When accessing a Library-owned resource like an article database, a streaming video or an ebook, you will be asked to sign in using your network login. Your Username is your Student Number and the Password is the one that you use to sign onto the computer network.
