Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Information regarding interlibrary loan. Interlibrary Loan (ILL), is the process of requesting materials from other libraries.

ILL - External Libraries

Durham College lends books and supplies copies of journal articles/book chapters to other libraries.

Loans

Durham College Library will normally lend books from the circulating collection for six weeks. All loans are subject to recall.
Not Available:  Reserve materials, reference materials, archival materials, audio-visual materials and any other materials that are in high demand by our students/faculty/staff.

Periodicals

The Library will not lend periodicals but will send photocopies of articles subject to copyright limitations.

How to Order

Requests must be submitted via our web request form (see link below Contact Information). Please observe the standard interlibrary loan protocol of submitting only one request per message.

Requests are not accepted by telephone.  Rush service is not available.

Charges

No charge to Ontario College Libraries, OCUL, PBUQ, COPPUL, CAUL-CBUA or other non-profit Libraries for loans or photocopies. Charges may apply to other institutions. Charge details will be supplied before any material is shipped.
